GEBCO Associates is seeking to fill both full-time and part-time/contract positions for an Environmental Health & Safety Instructor to join an experienced team of environmental professionals performing training for established clients in the North Texas area.

Job duties include providing health and safety training that includes (but not limited to) the following topics: OSHA Asbestos Abatement and Consulting, EPA Lead, OSHA Hazwoper, OSHA Safety for Construction and Mold Contractor and Consultant courses.

Schedule: Full time – 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; some weekends as needed.

Job Summary: The Environmental Health & Safety Instructor assists with the delivery and development of GEBCO’s training programs to maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally sound environment for students and the environment. The EH&S Instructor will be responsible to carry out the duties below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training programs related to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), EPA and TDLR compliance
  • Assist in the development of all course materials including student and instructor materials, handouts, student exercises and course presentations using Microsoft Power Point, Word
  • Assess new developments and regulation in the occupational health, safety, and environmental field

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good time management and reliability a must
  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Education and Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years’ experience with Asbestos, Lead or Mold activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in natural or physical sciences or a related field is preferred (but may be waived in favor of extensive, applicable experience)
  • Completion of adult education/training course (train the trainer course) from an accredited training organization (can be done internally at GEBCO)
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing), Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to travel as needed

Certification and Training:

  • Current Asbestos, Lead and or Mold certifications a plus
  • IICRC WRT and or ASD Certifications a plus
